Closing of CBGB's.

I was wrong!!! I was mislead!!!! I apologize for it. But now I grieve for a great man. Hilly Kristal, creator of CBGB OMFUG passed away during the summer 2008. Most of of my musician friends played there. We got a taste because of him. Thanks Hilly. Thanks on behalf of all us losers you let play in your club. Thank you. !!!

Sept. 5th, 2009-1st NYC gig in 11 years(not 12). People seemed to dig it. Johnny and Eric from Hello Dali came by. The tour ends, the future begins.
Thanks to everybody who bought a CD or tee-shirt, checked out an MP3, listened and rocked with us. Big Man's Band is bigger because of you, thanks!
August 29th, 2009-Us and Idle Tyme, rockin' at PJ's. It was good and loud, including some jamming by both bands. It was amazing!!!!!!!!
August 15th, 2009-6 great bands, Blue Water, Second Wind, Monks Of Sex, Ricky Blues, our friends Young Socrates, and we kicked things off at the 2nd annual Rochelle Gambino Tribute. What a night! Everyone at Mediterranean Taverna in Croton treated us so good. Jackie, you did a great job and Rochelle was obviously smiling down on us. Will post some video later!!
June 19, 2009-Got to check out the Natch, great band from Rockland, and the usual killer show from Ugly Friend!!!!
We did our best to keep up and even had a little group jam at the end. I got some video. I'll post it as soon as I catch.........my..............breath!!!!
Summer '08: Saw the last 2 AM BAND gigs in Peekskill. Really gonna miss those guys! I also saw TOM O'REILLY of MORE SUGAR there. See you soon, Tom! And I saw UGLY FRIEND in NYC in July(at Otto's Shrunken Head, a tiki bar on 14th St.). Also saw the MICHAEL LOUIS TRIO at DINO BBQ under the West Side HWY(at 125th St.). And saw YOUNG SOCRATES at a charity event just outside of Croton(their 1st gig in 8 years). So I do poke my head out on occasion!
Also I have established a MySpace page for
BIG MAN'S BAND!(you must go where the audience is!).
And a YouTube page forBIG MAN'S BAND!. What's it all mean?
11/07: Went to see The AM BAND in Peekskill. The first time I'd been out in awhile. Beeg'e is still the best. Thanks for the warm reception!
Early 07-Saw Goose's Farewell gig with Ugly Friend. Last I heard they had a new drummer and you can find them at MySpace.
6/06: went to see UGLY FRIEND at 2 of their CD release parties at CBGB's and at
The Chance in Poughkeepsie. The CD is called 'Grand Uglification Theory' and IT'S SMOKIN!!! You should
have a copy of one. Go the link above and check it out. And they're on MySpace.com/uglyfriend!

As of 1/31/05, I was honored to play at the A.M.BAND CD Release party with a lot of good friends for a lot of good friends.
The place was packed and we partied 'til late. Thanks Beeg'e, Matt, and crew for the invite, I had a blast and hope everyone else did too.
. I was able to hook up with Pepe, our old bass player in Christmas 2002. He looked and sounded great and wishes everyone well.
Had a great time at the Manny Berlingo Benefit/Slick Pelt show in October 2002. Saw a lot of hot, hot bands and performers.
I was honored to play and sing and be among all those greats. Hope you got to be a part of it.

A lot of people have been asking me when I'm going to be playing again. First thank you all for asking!. Nice to know folks remember.
Second, you gotta do your homework before you can take the test. I'm almost done with the new stuff.
When the paperwork's done, you'll see me out there again. GUARANTEED!!!
Thanks to bassist Glenn Gambino and drummer Mike Lorentoni of Blues Machine for playing with me in January 2001.
A million thanks, guys(and to Bob Helmrich for letting me borrow them.)
And congratulations to Naval Officer Charles Gramaglia, brother to original Big Man's Band drummer Bill,
for winning on ABC's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire!". Bill was actually in the audience, and that's the
